Gravitas Pens

Another great addition to my Gravitas Collection.

Gravitas is one of the two true innovators in the fountain pen industry. Their pocket pen is extremely well designed and well crafted.. I am particularly attracted to how heavy it is. This makes it unique. (It's also a spinning top which makes it wonderful desktop fidget toy when such things are needed.)

This pen is fantastically well made, hefty and very colorful, writing with it is an absolute pleasure and the nib comes very well adjusted. Shipping was super fast! I cannot recommend it more!

훌륭한 만년필입니다. 멋진 디자인, 좋은 사용감, 소재의 특별함까지 아주 만족스럽습니다. 나는 그라비타스의 팬이 되었습니다.

Un cuerpo genial, de buenas medidas. El plumín correcto.

I bought a Monster some time ago and unfortunately it rolled off the desk and broke on the floor. I wrote to Gravitas and told them what had happened and the sent me the replacement part at little cost straight away and am now back up and running with one of my favourite fountain pens again. Great service and a pleasure to deal with, thank you.

The F nib is smooth and gorgeous to write with—you all worked magic with this thing.

The section feels PERFECT in my hand, like it was molded for me (if it helps with comparisons, I’m a lefty and some other pens that fit me really well are a Pilot VP and an Ultem Vac 1.0).

Love the hiss of the end cap closing.

It’s lighter in the hand than you’d think to look at it. I never write posted.

The cap comes loose easily.

I would love a clip on this thing. It rolls away so easily and you really need to be careful where you put it.

Writing sample here is an F nib with Pelikan Turquoise ink on Rhodia paper.

Everything about this fountain pen is absolutely perfect for me. It has become my all-time favorite!

The machining quality, design, writing experience, and Kraken filling system have all exceeded my expectations. I'm extremely satisfied with every aspect of this fountain pen.

I love this pen so much that I wrote a review on Reddit. I have found a pen that fits my style. The pen fits perfectly in my hand. Especially the machined stainless steel groove close to the nib. I found myself writing for hours the first time I held it in my hands. I love the smooth transition from the titanium, to the ultem, to the stainless steel. I am extremely mesmerized of the kraken vacuum system. I ended up picking the EF nib and love the way it glides on paper. Great ink flow from the Gravitas nib unit and it holds enough ink for hours and hours of writing. If you are a fan of fine craftsmanship, weight, and holding a pen that is durable. Get this pen.

Small but mighty. Feels like it will last forever.

This pen was gifted to me, and it basically got me interested in Gravitas as a company. They are now officially my "go to" company for when I want to add something nice to my collection! This one in particular is especially good because it has the translucence of a demonstrator, but with a sort of "frosted" texture to keep the insides from being too clear. And because the body is so light, the weight is balanced heavily towards the metallic grip section. It almost feels like it's stabilizing my hand for smoother penstrokes! It's also quite durable. The splattering on the inside of the lid is from when I dropped it a couple times. This is a nice high-flow pen! Even my drier inks come out smoothly without issue. My floor is carpeted so naturally it didn't leave any scuffs on the barrel or lid.

It's a smidge wide for my medium-sized hands, so I prefer the shape of the "Entry" more, but it's by no means unusable for me. I wouldn't mind getting another one of these someday, maybe as a gift for someone else.

Comes in a very nice hard, cloth, zippered case. This pen is full size and 83 grams; a ‘solid’ writing instrument, yet it is well balanced (don’t post), and a pleasure to write with. The external surface looks to be highly polished, yet has a slight, horizonal ribbing – you can not feel it with your fingers, but can hear it when you rub it on the paper. The Jowo #6 EF nib is brightly polished, with an embossed arrowhead company logo. Section is ribbed enough to give a secure grip during use – just enough tactile response to be functional and interesting.
My interest in THIS model was that it was crafted in bronze – there are bronze-anodized aluminum pens out there, but pens which incorporate actual bronze are rare. I have used a magnifying glass – I can find no imperfections. And the writing experience was exceptional. The feed has does not leave the nib to skip – of course, as an EF, its demands are not high.
Gravitas is now located in Romania. If you are ordering from the USA, our government has imposed import duties, which I got billed for by the carrier (DHS). Still, the total price delivered was quite reasonable for this outstanding pen.
This is my third Gravitas pen. Each has been excellent in appearance, craftsmanship, and writing experience. And they offer more than the typical ‘plastic black cigar’ pen.

It's a nice experience shopping with Gravitas Pens; quick, correct and smart communication.

I obsessed about this purcahse for a while before I pulled the trigger. With shipping and tariffs, it's not cheap getting these things to the States. But, in a moment of weakness, I finally pulled the trigger and have not regretted it. It writes beautifully and Gravitas's new nib and feeder design is juicy and smooth AF. No compaints. I would like to puchase a Fine and Extra Fine version of these new nibs (I enjoy the medium nib I have, but it's bolder than I expected), but they aren't available for purchase yet.
